100 Mile House is located on BC Highway 97, 70 miles north of Cache Creek, 56 miles south of Williams Lake and 204 miles south of Prince George.

Visitor Information: South Cariboo Visitor Centre is located in the log building by 100 Mile House Marsh; look for the 39-foot-long cross-country skis.

100 Mile House was once a stop for fur traders, and later a post house on the Cariboo Waggon Road to the goldfields. Today, 100 Mile House is the service centre for the South Cariboo, and has 2 lumber mills and an Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant. It is also the “hand-crafted log home capital of North America,” with an extensive log home industry.

Visitor services in this bustling community include  fast-food outlets (A&W, DQ, Subway, Tim Hortons), restaurants, motels, gas/diesel stations (Chevron, Petro-Canada, Husky),  repair services, stores, a post office, 2 golf courses, a theatre, a government liquor store, 3 supermarkets (Save-On-Foods), banks and ATMs. Dry camping seasonally at the Municipal Campground on Horse Lake Road for small to mid-size RVs.

Centennial Park has picnic sites, playground and a scenic walking trail to Bridge Creek Falls, a 10-minute hike. Parking area will accommodate large RVs.
